Dave's hot chicken started with one man, one recipe, and an obsession with finding the perfect heat level. What began as a late-night experiment in a Union, NJ home kitchen quickly turned into the talk of the neighborhood — and eventually, the whole region.

Dave discovered Nashville-style hot chicken during a road trip and immediately knew he had to bring those bold, fiery flavors back home. After months of perfecting his signature spice blend — balancing smoky, sweet, and searingly hot — daves hot chicken officially opened its doors at 2401 US-22 in Union, NJ.

Today, we serve thousands of heat-lovers every week, from die-hard spice fans who love our "Reaper" level to families discovering our milder "No Spice" for the first time. Every piece of chicken is hand-breaded, cooked to order, and served with the same love that started it all.
